Returns Policy

Saltwater Leisure Pty Ltd trading as Saltwater Picnic Co, prides itself on providing products of the highest quality and is committed to customer satisfaction. This returns policy describes generally how we manage product returns.

Returns remain subject to our Website Terms of Use (https://saltwaterpicnic.co/website-terms) as well as our
Warranty Policy. If you would like more information, please don't hesitate to contact us.

We refer to Saltwater Leisure Pty Ltd (ABN 92 681 908 421) throughout this document as ("we", "us" or the "Company" or “Saltwater Picnic Co”.)


Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.


(a) A product or good has a major failure when:
(b) it has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying it if they’d
known about it;
(c) it is significantly different from the sample or description;
(d) it is substantially unfit for its common purpose and can’t easily be fixed within a
reasonable time;
(e) it doesn’t do what you asked for and can’t easily be fixed within a reasonable
time; or
(f) it is unsafe.


Importantly, the rights described in this policy are in addition to the statutory rights to which you may be entitled under the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable Australian consumer protection laws and regulations.
Please note there may be limitations on your right to return and obtain a refund for products, however these limits will always be subject to your statutory rights.


RETURNS The Process


To return or exchange your item you must first contact us via email at hello@saltwaterpicnic.co to organise.

Replacement or Credit as Remedy.

If you are not satisfied with any item that you receive from us, please let us know as soon as possible as we may be able to replace the item for you. In some circumstances, we may provide a credit instead of replacement at our discretion.


What you must return to us

To receive a replacement or credit, you must first return the item to us along with its original packaging and product tags. In order for the items to be eligible for return, they must:


• be unused, unwashed, clean of any animal hair, sand, dirt or otherwise; and
• not been purchased during a sale or via a gift card.

Returning items within the first 60 days


If we receive the returned item, or written notice from you that you will be returning the item, within the first 60 days after the earlier of the date of purchase and the date of delivery to you, then we will assess the circumstances (including analysing the returned item, if considered appropriate by us) to ascertain whether or not the Company is at fault and:


• (Company at fault) if we consider that the Company is at fault, we will provide a full
replacement of the returned item (or a credit at our discretion); or
• (Company not at fault) if we consider that the Company is not at fault, then:
− if the item has been returned in its original condition, we will provide a full
replacement of the returned item (or a credit at our discretion); or
− if the item has been returned broken, damaged, tarnished or worn, we will not
provide any replacement or credit.


Returning items after the first 60 days


If we do not receive the returned item, or written notice from you that you will be returning the item, within the first 60 days after the earlier of the date of purchase and the date of delivery to you, then we will assess the circumstances (including analysing the returned item if
considered appropriate by us) to ascertain whether or not the Company is at fault and:
• (Company at fault) if we consider that the Company is at fault, we will provide a full
replacement of the returned item (or a credit at our discretion); or
• (Company not at fault) if we consider that the Company is not at fault, then no
replacement or credit will be provided. The Company may, however, choose to provide
a replacement or credit in some cases at its discretion.


Shipping costs

In all cases, you must pay the costs involved in shipping the returned product back to the Company. If we consider that the Company is not at fault, then no reimbursement in respect of those shipping costs will be provided. If we consider that the Company is at fault, then we will reimburse you for your reasonable shipping costs incurred in returning the product to us.

Return / Exchange

If you would like to return or exchange your rug please you have 60 days from purchase to do so.

Please note, that for items to be eligible for return or exchange, they must …

  • Be unused , unwashed, clean of any animal hair, sand, dirt or otherwise.
  • Have the all original product tags attached as they were when we sent them to you. (strap and tote bag)
  • Have not been purchased during a sale or via a gift card.

All return/exchange items are to be sent to the address we supply at the buyer's expense. We recommend using tracking and insurance on your items as we are unable to take any liability for items lost or damaged on their way back to us.

Once we receive the return/exchange rug, its condition will be checked and if everything is in order we will arrange an invoice for the return postage (if exchanging) or issue you a credit note or refund if there is no exchange.

If a refund is required for change of mind there will be a $30 fee deducted from the refund amount to cover our incurred postage and handling costs from the original order.


Damaged or Faulty Items

At Saltwater Leisure Pty Ltd (ABN 92 681 908 421) (‘Saltwater Picnic Co’), we believe in our products. In the rare and unfortunate case that there Is something is faulty with a product we have sent you, we have a 12 month warranty (details below)

Saltwater Picnic Co. Warranty

If you purchase from our website and use your Saltwater Picnic Co rug in accordance with our care instructions, we’ll back our product with a replacement warranty for twenty four (24) months from your date of purchase.

The Process


- Please contact us first at hello@saltwaterpicnic.co letting us know what’s happened (include pictures if possible).
- If we believe that our rug hasn’t stood up to our high standards and you’ve cared for it in accordance with our care instructions:
o We’ll send you a replacement rug of your choice (so you don’t have to wait too long until your next picnic); and
o You’ll just need to return your original picnic rug to us using the return shipping label we’ll send you.


Terms and Conditions


1. The Australian Consumer Law provides guarantees to consumers when they purchase goods and these guarantees cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. These consumer guarantees are different to, and separate from, this warranty, which is given voluntarily by Saltwater Picnic Co. This warranty applies in addition to other rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law.
2. Except as required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), this warranty will only apply in respect of our products:
(a) where they have been maintained or used in accordance with Saltwater Picnic Co’s
instructions or any other specifications provided; and
(b) where damage or defects has not been caused by deliberate or negligent misuse..
3. Saltwater Picnic Co’s determination of the process detailed above and our warranty is absolute and final.
4. Except as required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), Our liability under this warranty will not exceed the purchase price of your Saltwater Picnic Co rug or the replacement of the goods with the same or a similar product.

Repurposing

At Saltwater Picnic Co we believe in giving everything a new life and purpose.

All returned goods will be donated to a charity that reuses our Saltwater Picnic Co products and gives them a new life.

To start this repurposing, we’ll provide the preloved Saltwater Picnic Co rugs to a charity that supports rescue dogs.
